From Faro airport follow the sign A22 PORTIMAO.  After a few minutes you will see a sign for PORTIMAO to the right. Follow this and keep following the A22 signs…you will see A22 signs with Lisboa on…that is fine just keep on following. As a marker after a while you will see the new football stadium on your right-hand side and shortly after that watch closely for and follow the A22 sign to the right showing Portimao, Lisboa and Albufeira.

Now you can relax and follow the PORTIMAO signs along the motorway for about 25 minutes or so.You will then come to the Silves service station and now it is time to concentrate again. After about a minute you will see a sign for LAGOA to the right…follow this. Then follow the signs for LAGOA SUL and then CARVOEIRO and you come off the motorway and meet a roundabout. Carry straight on to a set of lights and turn right for CARVOEIRO.

After a few hundred yards you meet a roundabout and keep to the right towards SEISMARIAS…take this road to the next roundabout and then follow the signs for FERRAGUDO. In the next few minutes you will meet two more roundabouts but just keep following the FERRAGUDO signs. You are now on the coast road and should have nice sea views to your left. Follow this winding and hilly road for a few minutes and you will eventually come down a hill with a car park on your left and VILA CASTELO is facing you. As the road bends to the right the VILA CASTELO sign is on your left. Turn left and immediately left again and follow the road up the hill to the top and park. You have arrived and can collect your key from Apartment No. 41 which is nearest to the road.
